Terms of Service

01 Agreement to Terms
By accessing the VoltLab website, submitting an enquiry, making a deposit, or engaging VoltLab for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and users of VoltLab's services, website, and AI-powered tools including the Volt voice assistant.
02 Services
VoltLab provides technology installation, configuration, and automation services including but not limited to:
- Tesla Ambient Lighting — Software-based activation of Tesla's built-in ambient lighting system
- OpenClaw Installation — Hardware mounting, firmware configuration, and integration testing
- Local AI Setup — Deployment of AI models on client-owned hardware
- AI Business Automation — Custom workflow automation for business operations
- Vapi AI Voice Agents — Configuration and deployment of AI-powered voice assistants
- Linktw Deep Links — Smart link stack setup for content creators
- Email Automation — Email flow design, configuration, and CRM integration
- Private Cloud & Media Streaming — Local deployment of private cloud and media server infrastructure
VoltLab reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice to affected clients.
03 Bookings, Deposits & Payments
A non-refundable $50 priority deposit is required to secure any booking. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of your service.
- Priority deposit: $50 is due at the time of booking via Stripe. This confirms your appointment slot and prevents double booking.
- Remaining balance: The outstanding balance is due upon satisfactory completion of the work, before handover.
- Free consultations: No deposit is required for a free 15-minute consultation. Consultations do not guarantee service availability or pricing.
- Pricing: All prices listed are starting prices. Final cost depends on complexity, time, and equipment required. A fixed quote will be provided before any work begins.
- Payment methods: Payments are processed securely through Stripe. VoltLab does not store payment card information.
- Late payment: VoltLab reserves the right to withhold final deliverables, access credentials, or handover documentation until full payment is received.
04 Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellation by client: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a scheduled appointment will receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment are non-refundable.
- Rescheduling: You may reschedule at no cost up to 24 hours before your appointment. Rescheduling within 24 hours is subject to availability and may incur a $25 rebooking fee.
- Cancellation by VoltLab: If VoltLab cancels an appointment, a full refund of the deposit will be issued within 5 business days.
- Completed work: Refunds are not available for services that have been fully completed and handed over. If you believe work was not completed to the agreed standard, contact us within 7 days of handover.
05 Client Responsibilities
To ensure services can be delivered effectively, clients agree to:
- Provide accurate information about their hardware, software environment, and requirements at the time of booking
- Ensure VoltLab has appropriate access to devices, systems, or premises required to complete the work
- Back up any existing data before any installation or configuration work begins — VoltLab is not responsible for data loss
- Ensure that any third-party software, subscriptions, or hardware required for a service is legally owned or licensed by the client
- Not use VoltLab-configured systems or automation for any unlawful purpose
06 Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, all custom work created by VoltLab specifically for a client — including custom automation workflows, email sequences, and configuration scripts — becomes the property of the client.
VoltLab retains ownership of any proprietary tools, frameworks, templates, or methodologies used in delivering services. These are licensed to the client for use but may not be resold, redistributed, or repurposed without written permission from VoltLab.
Third-party software, platforms, and services used as part of a delivery (e.g. Calendly, Vapi, Stripe, Make) remain subject to their own terms of service and licensing.
07 Limitation of Liability
VoltLab's total liability for any claim arising from a service shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for that specific service.
VoltLab is not liable for:
- Loss of data, revenue, or business resulting from any installation, configuration, or automation service
- Downtime or service interruptions caused by third-party platforms or infrastructure
- Incompatibilities arising from software updates made by third parties after handover
- Any consequential, indirect, or incidental damages of any kind
- Actions taken by AI agents or automation workflows after client handover and approval
VoltLab provides services in good faith and takes all reasonable steps to ensure quality. Clients are encouraged to test all deliverables during the handover period.
08 Privacy & Data
VoltLab collects only the information necessary to deliver services and communicate with clients. This includes name, email address, phone number, and service details submitted through the website contact form or booking process.
- Contact information is used solely for service delivery, scheduling, and follow-up communications
- Payment data is processed by Stripe and never stored by VoltLab
- Scheduling data is managed by Calendly under their own privacy policy
- Voice calls with the Volt AI assistant may be recorded for quality and improvement purposes — callers are informed of this before the call begins
- VoltLab does not sell, rent, or share client data with third parties for marketing purposes

09 AI & Automation Services
Services involving artificial intelligence, automation workflows, and voice agents carry specific considerations that clients should be aware of:
- AI outputs: AI-generated responses, recommendations, and actions are probabilistic in nature. VoltLab does not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of AI outputs after deployment.
- Voice agents: Vapi AI voice agents are configured to represent the client's business. The client is responsible for reviewing agent behaviour before going live and for any communications the agent has with their customers.
- Automation workflows: Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all automation logic before activation. VoltLab is not liable for automated actions taken after client sign-off.
- Local AI deployments: For locally deployed AI models, VoltLab configures the environment but is not responsible for the ongoing behaviour of open-source models or their outputs.
- Data handling: Local AI and private cloud setups are designed to keep data on the client's hardware. VoltLab does not access, store, or transmit client data processed through locally deployed systems.
10 Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or VoltLab's services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction of the applicable courts.
VoltLab operates in multiple jurisdictions. Clients are responsible for ensuring their use of VoltLab's services complies with the laws of their own jurisdiction.
11 Changes to These Terms
VoltLab reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of VoltLab's services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
For significant changes affecting existing service agreements, VoltLab will make reasonable efforts to notify affected clients directly.
